The Story:

From Passion to "Play-Immersion"

Creating Polyglots has been a dream of mine ever since I spent six months teaching English to children in China. I was astonished at how quickly the children learned the language and that they would use it while playing with each other outside of class time.

Like most Canadian children, I had spent eight years in French classes, but couldn’t speak it for the life of me. I had also studied German, Sign Language, and Japanese and experienced the challenges of learning as a teenager/young adult. I determined that I would offer Canadian children the opportunity to learn languages through play so that they could have the benefit of knowing a second language while they were young and could learn it so readily.

“We didn’t just want to teach kids to speak a language; we wanted them to love living it.”

Authenticity

We only work with native-level instructors who bring the true rhythm and culture of their language into the classroom.

Active Engagement

From Kitchen Science to Gym Games, our students learn by doing, ensuring vocabulary sticks for life.

Confidence First

We focus on communication over perfection. Our students are Explorers, Adventurers, and Navigators on a journey of discovery.

Our Mission

At Polyglots, we believe children learn languages best when they feel engaged, confident, and supported.

That’s why our programs focus on interaction, creativity, and real communication—not memorization.

We create an environment where kids feel comfortable speaking, making mistakes, and growing.

How We Teach

We use a play-based and immersive approach that makes learning natural and enjoyable.

Our classes include:

🎨 Creative activities and crafts
🎲 Interactive games
📚 Storytelling and role-play
🗣 Real conversation practice

Children don’t just learn words—they learn how to use the language with confidence.
